Description
A Socket Outlet, or Sockolet, is a high-strength forged branch fitting designed to create a 90° socket weld branch connection on a run pipe. It features a socket-weld outlet, allowing the branch pipe to be inserted and then secured with a fillet weld, creating a strong, leak-proof joint. This design provides integral reinforcement and is ideal for small-bore piping systems, such as vents, drains, and instrument connections. Manufactured from carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy steels, Sockolets are built to withstand high-pressure and high-temperature conditions in demanding industries like oil & gas, petrochemical, and power generation.
